After baiting your baitfish, pull the Bait Stop over the hook point that emerges from the skin of your bait. The hook point and barb must come out of the skin of the bait. You must now press the bait stop onto the free hook point until it is behind the barb. Your hook is then secured and can no longer be easily removed from the baitfish. Of course, you can also use the Bait Stop to secure worms or other bait on your catfish hook.
