Preston Innovations is proud to introduce the next generation of long rods designed specifically for carp fishing on the continent. The STR range is based on the same mandrel as our Euro Carp range, allowing full compatibility for owners of previous models from butt to tip section, whilst the latest carbon technology ensures pure enjoyment when using these rods. The range consists of 5 rods, all of which have the same mandrel and are therefore fully interchangeable, and a brand new generation of top kits. The design brief for this range was: Comfort, Power, Balance, Compatibility and Precision. All of this has been achieved to create our best European pole range yet! Top Kit Simplicity We have developed brand new top kits for the Euro Carp STR rods, focussing on simplicity of use! That's why the top kits are identical for all rods in the series. Whether it's the 8.5 metre Edge rod or the top-of-the-range STR 1300 rod, the top kits are guaranteed to be identical, of the highest quality and fully interchangeable. The range includes 2 power kits (290 cm), which are available in black or grey, a 3-piece version (440 cm), which is also available in black for deeper locations, and a short 1-piece kit (185 cm), which can be extended again to the full length of 290 cm with the short extender. Each top kit has depth markings at 1 cm intervals, which are essential for setting depths, lead patterns and distances between float and connector. Margin fishing is becoming increasingly popular as large fish can often be found close to the shore. The STR Margin is both stiff and strong and can be used comfortably at any length up to a full 10 metres when the fish are moving further back along the bank. The STR Margin perfectly complements the STR, STR X and STR S, so that you can fish a margin pole that is completely interchangeable with the long main rod Package; 10m pole including x1 mini extension, x1 spare top 2 kit grey (290cm) x1 cupping kit (290cm) incl. cups and holdall.
