Gamakatsu is known worldwide for hooks of exceptional quality. For many years, the Japanese manufacturer has been conducting its own research and driving forward new developments that make carp fishing more comfortable and significantly improve the chances of success. Like all Gamakatsu hooks, the G-Carp Specialist is made from a high carbon steel specially developed for hook manufacture. This A1 material is stronger, harder and more durable than any other steel material. The high carbon steel is free of any impurities and contains a high proportion of vanadium and carbon. To make the hooks even more abrasion-resistant and stronger, Gamakatsu uses a unique tempering technology in which each individual hook is first heated and then cooled and hardened in an oil bath. The high-tech material in combination with the modern tempering technology makes the Gamakatsu - G-Carp Specialist hooks twice as durable and 25 % harder and 20 % stronger than hooks made of conventional steel. Due to the hardness of the A1 material, the hook point of the G-Carp Specialist is razor-sharp and does not lose its sharpness even after frequent use. With the G-Carp Specialist, Gamakatsu has launched a standard hook for particles and boilies that is suitable for fishing for carp in all waters and can be used in all situations.
