Method fishing is a relatively new fishing method that originated in England. The fishing technique is derived from bait basket fishing and is a very effective bottom fishing method in which food is offered in the immediate vicinity of the bait. The advantage is that the bait is hidden directly in the food, which increases the chances of catching fish enormously. The Gamakatsu - G-Carp Method Hook is a special carp hook that is particularly suitable for method fishing, but can also be used well when fishing for carp with particles. The Gamakatsu - G-Carp Method Hook is made of extra thin wire so that it remains inconspicuous to the carp. Nevertheless, the hook is extremely strong thanks to the special material.
A1 is a high carbon steel that was specially developed by the Japanese manufacturer Gamakatsu to produce high-quality hooks. The A1 material contains a high proportion of vanadium and carbon and is an absolutely pure material. To make the Gamakatsu - G-Carp Method Hook hooks extremely strong and durable, each individual hook is heated in a special process and then cooled in oil. This technology is one of the most advanced manufacturing processes in the world and results in Gamakatsu hooks being 25 % harder and 20 % stronger than any other hook made of ordinary steel. In addition, Gamakatsu hooks are twice as durable. When using a Gamakatsu - G-Carp Method Hook, every angler can therefore be absolutely sure that the material will not become brittle even after frequent use and that the hook point will still be as sharp as on the first day. Only by using this hi-tech material is it possible to produce such an extremely thin yet strong hook, which is particularly suitable for method fishing.
