What Makes Our One-Man Carp Fishing Tents Stand Out

A one-man tent is ideal for a wide range of uses. Whether for short or extended sessions, thanks to compact transport dimensions and quick setup, your temporary shelter is ready in no time.
A bivvy should therefore offer more than just low weight and small packed size – it must also include additional features to protect you reliably from the elements:

  • Dimensions: This comes down to personal preference – do you want an ultra compact shelter that can be set up and taken down in seconds? Then you'll have to accept some compromises in comfort and space.
  • A spacious bivvy with extensions, such as a porch, offers great comfort, but is also bulkier, heavier, and slower to set up. If you're looking for an all-rounder, choose a well-balanced middle ground.
  • A floor area of around 220cm x 250cm can serve as a helpful reference. As for the height of the bivvy, you should not go below 110cm to ensure ample headroom inside.
  • When purchasing your bivvy, make sure it features sufficient ventilation panels at the front and rear of the tent to effectively release heat during summer, while keeping mosquitoes out.
  • The choice of tent material largely depends on your available budget. Simple, budget-friendly nylon tents with a water column of under 5,000mm are generally adequate for occasional anglers. Anaconda, JRC, and Mivardi offer quality entry-level products starting from €200.
  • If you're planning on fishing through extended periods of heavy rain, it's recommended to invest in a high-quality bivvy made from breathable, waterproof fabric with a water column rating between 10,000mm and 25,000mm. Leading brands like Fox, Trakker, Nash, and Aqua offer comparable systems starting at around €400.
