We have optimized this offset hook with a large eye together with the manufacturer VMC according to our ideas.

The barb is quite small. Together with the super-smooth Teflon coating, this also helps the hook to penetrate the fish's mouth wonderfully. A smaller barb is also fish-friendly. But don't worry; the size of the barb is sufficient for the point to remain securely anchored in the mouth even with wildly head-shaking fish.

In addition to use on the Rushka and Cheburashka, you can also use this offset hook for dropshot fishing, on Carolina, Texas, free and kickback rigs, for soft jerks (often in conjunction with tungsten nail sinkers) or for numerous other applications in perch fishing and, in the larger versions, pike fishing.

The Wide Gap Screw Hook is equipped with a bait spiral as a baitkeeper. The central spike makes it easy to twist into the front rubber area. The bait is not destroyed and sits bombproof. The slot on the front eyelet of the spiral gives you a very flexible setup. As the bait spirals used are available from us as a pack of 10, you can simply pre-rig your rubber baits and don't have to lug around too many hooks. This makes it very easy to change lures and your soft baits remain intact in the head area.

The spiral is held in place by two "resin knobs" between the hook eye and shank. The front knob also closes the eye. If you tie the Wide Gap Screw Hook directly to your leader with some methods, you run no risk of damaging your FC or thin steel.

If you prefer to wind your bait onto the bend without a spiral in the front area, you can also do this with the Wide Gap Screw Hook. After all, the bait spiral is removable. The lower "resin knob" on the bend of the offset hook then serves as a kind of baitholder for the head area of the rubber bait. The Wide Gap Screw Hook is therefore very well thought out.

In addition to perch fishing, you can also use the large versions for pike fishing. Thanks to the wide curve, you can also combine the Wide Gap Screw Hook with bulky soft baits.
