Takumi PE is a very abrasion-resistant 4-plait braid. Baitcasting fans will be delighted. Especially when using thin lines, 8-plait braids cause problems (wigs are virtually pre-programmed when casting). With the Takumi PE we provide a remedy. INFO We no longer communicate diameter specifications for Momoi braided lines. Instead, we specify the PE value. There are 3 reasons for this: 1. the diameter of a braided line cannot be accurately determined due to the uneven cross-section. 2. the vast majority of competitors use unrealistic specifications. In reality, most lines are significantly thicker or have poorer breaking strain values. Many customers are blinded by this. We simply do not want to invite comparisons that a product with honest values cannot win. 3. The Japanese PE value divides braided lines into different weight classes. This is not about the breaking strain, but about the weight of the line itself. Lines that have the same weight with the same running length are in the same PE class. Japanese line manufacturers use tables to determine this. In practice, the PE value provides much more precise information about the thickness of the line, although the diameter is not determined. As PE classes may be new to you, we will first provide you with an overview of the diameters determined as accurately and honestly as possible. Please bear in mind, however, that the lines from Momoi are significantly thinner than the lines of most competitors due to the most honest information possible. Momoi braided lines are sometimes half as thick as lines from other brands with the same diameter printed on them.
