Bite alarms with Bluetooth - the revolution? Balzer - MK-BT Bluetooth in focus
Pairing a bite indicator with a smartphone to call up or change certain parameters.
Sounds logical, and of course it is. 99% of all anglers have their smartphone with them on the water at all times anyway.
Crawling out of the warm bivvy in the fall or winter just to change a few settings on the bite indicator on the rod pod is now a thing of the past.
With the MK-BT Bluetooth, Balzer is further expanding the Matze Koch range and introducing a bite indicator that uses your own smartphone as a receiver.
With the "MK BT" app (available to download from the app stores), the bite indicators, which are available in the classic colors red, yellow, green and blue, can be paired with all conventional smartphones. The range is specified as approx. 40m, which should be absolutely sufficient for most anglers.
For an amazingly low price of €39.95, which should be of particular interest to all-round anglers, the Balzer - MK-BT has many technical features:

Various features of the bite indicator can be viewed and changed in the MK BT app.
There is an acoustic and visual bite indicator in the button. In addition, the smartphone's vibration alarm can be used for particularly silent fishing.
Optional activation of the cell phone camera flash during a bite for an additional visual display. Display of the battery level of the bite indicator and constant monitoring of the individual Bluetooth connection.
The Balzer - MK-BT Bluetooth bite indicators really look and feel great. It remains to be seen whether the Bluetooth functionality is suitable for everyday use and whether it may even lead to a revolution on the bite indicator market.
