As the name suggests, The Stone is predestined for fishing with a stone rig (or in general with a bottom rig). Its soft tip action leads to a semi-parabolic action with a very strong backbone when subjected to heavy loads. The very thick-walled blank is responsible for this. Such a blank design with two-piece rods can only be made possible by a division over the handle. This concept originally comes from the marine realm. We already used it with the Vertical Spin. In addition to the ideal action, we also wanted to develop a slim blank with a low dead weight with the The Stone that is also enormously robust. Anyone who experiences this catfish rod in action for the first time will confirm that we have succeeded. The softer tip allows the bait to be sucked in very well and ensures ideal bite detection. You can use The Stone very well for slagline fishing. When fishing with the stone rig, the line is left quite slack instead of - as was common in the past - being stretched quite hard. In this way it is prevented that the current, but also wind, turbulence and noise get into the main line, which are often transported to the bait. Of course, you can also use The Stone for middle guying up to a distance of almost 150 meters. Long range fishing at a distance of several hundred meters is also no problem in combination with stone rigs. Each of our catfish rods is securely packed and delivered in a high-quality rod case.
