The Dentist 300 50-165g is specially designed for spin fishing for large predatory fish, which is why the focus was on the king of all salmonids, the huchen and its cousin the taimen! Of course, the Dentist 300 can also cope with any pike and is also ideal for spin fishing for catfish.
The concept of this big fish rod is uncompromising and leaves nothing to be desired on the water.

The blank:
The heart of every fishing rod is the blank, in this case we spent a long time tinkering around to find the perfect blank.
The blank measures 300cm in length and has a casting weight of 50-165g and is in two parts. The length of the rod is a clear advantage when fishing for huchen, regardless of whether you are using techniques close to the bottom such as fishing with a bobber, rubber or braid or fishing close to the surface with a wobbler and mouse, with a rod length of 300cm you have a perfect line angle and can easily get as much line out of the water as possible. Firstly, the lures drift off when there is a lot of line in the current and secondly, contact with the lure is as direct as possible so that a very strong strike can be made without delay. Thanks to this length, it is also great for fishing over bank vegetation and stone packs.
The tip of the rod is sensitive enough to achieve great casting distances even with lighter lures. At the same time, plugs run extremely seductively even at low speeds thanks to the slightly softer tip. The transmission is sensational and allows the angler to "see" or feel what the lure is doing even in the dark.
The blank has a very progressive action, after the slightly softer tip the rod "closes" evenly. Power without end, which is why the strike is also in the hard huchen mouth. Thanks to the strong backbone, even large predators can be easily controlled and safely landed in strong currents, for example.
The handle
The high-quality EVA handle offers a secure grip for casting, lure control, strike and fight! Furthermore, the rod has counterweights to get the combo perfectly balanced. The ergonomic foregrip is deliberately slightly longer to provide the necessary leverage for the strike. During development, we also thought about how we could further optimize the handling of this strong huchen rod. The thickening on the foregrip means that the rod lies loosely in the hand as if by itself. As a result, you can fish much longer and more relaxed and have the necessary power for the strike.
The back handle is nice and long so that even heavy lures can be catapulted to the horizon thanks to the lever. Thanks to the thickening on the butt, the hand automatically glides to the casting position, and the laser-engraved bullseye logo in the EVA is another eye-catcher.
The reel seat
Big fish, big reels! A Fuji DPS 18 ensures a perfect fit of the reel, the lock nut comes as usual with a discreet carbon tube and laser engraved Bullseye logo.

We also only use Fuji components for this model, in this case the rod is equipped with 7+1 Fuji K SS Alconite guides. The tip guide was chosen in size #10 in order to be able to fish sensibly even in icy temperatures, the starter in size #30 ensures that the line flies cleanly from the reel without being slowed down in order to generate maximum casting distances.
