The outstanding feature of the Gamakatsu - G-Carp Super Snag is its excellent material properties. Like all hooks from the Japanese manufacturer, the G-Carp Super Snag is made from A1 high carbon steel. This material was specially developed by Gamakatsu for hook production and is stronger and harder than any other steel. Gamakatsu has set itself the task of making fishing more comfortable and more successful through constant new developments and technologies. The A1 material therefore stands out from other steel materials for hook manufacture in every respect. The high carbon steel has a high proportion of carbon and vanadium and is absolutely pure. Gamakatsu hooks made from A1 high carbon steel are also twice as durable as conventional steel. This is thanks to a special tempering process in which Gamakatsu first heats the hooks and then cools them in oil. This makes the G-Carp Super Snag even more resistant and durable.
