The G-Carp Hump Back is a new development from the Japanese hook manufacturer Gamakatsu. With its special SEC shape, the carp hook has excellent turning properties. It also hooks extremely quickly thanks to its super fine and thin point. The flat and curved shanks make it extremely resistant and give the hook exceptional strength. After a long development period, the new Gamakatsu - G-Carp Hump Back is now finally on the market and promises carp anglers optimum fishing success.
Gamakatsu hooks are made from a high carbon steel. The material with the name A1 was developed by Gamakatsu specifically for hook production. A1 has a high proportion of carbon and vanadium and is characterized by the fact that it is absolutely free of all impurities. The hi-tech material is further improved by a special tempering process. For this purpose, each Gamakatsu - G-Carp Hump Back hook is first heated and then cooled in an oil bath. These unique Gamakatsu technologies mean that the hooks are 20 % stronger, 25 % harder and last twice as long as hooks made from conventional steel.
The Gamakatsu - G-Carp Hump Back has a PTFE coating that prevents reflections and gives the hook a matt appearance. This means that the Gamakatsu - G-Carp Hump Back is optimally camouflaged and blends in with its surroundings. The fish notice the coated Gamakatsu hook far less than a shiny steel hook, which increases the chances of catching fish.
Thanks to the special SEC shape, the G-Carp Hump Back automatically turns in the direction of the carp's lower lip as soon as it bites. The extra thin tip ensures quick penetration.
