"...It was just over two years later, after rejecting many samples, that we finally got hold of the Stratos MAG reels.A reel designed from scratch, purely with carp fishing in mind.To say I was excited was an understatement!

When I first saw the reels I immediately commented on how well they felt in the hand, and how ‘sexy’ the mechanisms sounded.This is really important, because that is what gives the customer in the shop their first impression.The reels looked great and the option of a Shallow, Standard and Continental spool was a real bonus.The somewhat subdued look of the 12000’s smacks of functionality, and imparts a serious intent. In short, it didn’t look like a bauble on a Christmas tree!

One of the overriding features is the weight of the reels.They’re heavy enough to feel robust, but light enough to bring great balance to any setup.

Balance, for me, is one of the most important things, because if that is right you will inevitably get the best from it...."
